Tige Boat Logo Reproduction – JoyRideGraphics.com

As you can see in the above picture, Jared’s Tige logo was torn.  The dot on top of the letter “I”.  Wanting to keep the same, general design, JoyRideGraphics.com worked with the customer and determined that the Tige text portion of this graphic is separate from the background graphic.  So what we did was duplicate the Tige text only as a vector image which will be printed on our marine grade vinyl.  The customer will have the text graphic removed and apply our replacement.

Harris Pontoon Boat Graphic – JoyRideGraphics.com

Well…as it sometimes happens during our Completely Custom design service, Paul and I decided to try something different.  We got the spike pontoon boat graphic about where we wanted it.

Paul, our customer and I both liked the result but Paul remained a bit questionable.  The design was based upon a Bennington pontoon graphic that was much taller than the Harris pontoon boat and I believe that led to sacrifices in the design that just weren’t sitting right.  Paul asked me for my suggestion…”What would you do?”.  So I made the suggestion of what is called a Shatter Graphic.

Paul liked it!  Then one very early morning later, we added a silver border to the design and filled the interior of the graphic with a copper pattern, rear side lighting and some additional details…I believe we have a real candidate for the final product.  Here is where we have arrived!

I’m personally loving this design!  The texture, colors and touch of a grunge take this Harris pontoon boat from a very generic look (see original design below) to something with class and luxury, but still with a bit of attitude.

With the general design and shapes looking like we are on the right track, we discussed colors and the 3D shadows and lighting needed to make this design really stand out.  This is the mock-up of the current stage of development for this Harris pontoon boat graphic.

From a technical side, this design is a vector graphic which means once complete, it can be sized to any specification without loosing any quality.  JoyRideGraphics.com underlays the exported design onto the customer’s boat to provide a good visual of the final product.  We provide this in JPG format and email it to the customer for their input, changes, etc.

At JoyRide Graphics, the goal of our Completely Custom service is to assure that the customer is completely happy with not only the graphic, but how it will look on their boat, car, truck, etc.  There really isn’t a better way to do this than with this type hands-on service and the exchange of visualized ideas.

This continuing project will be fully documented here, in our blog for the purpose of explaining how our Completely Custom design process at JoyRideGraphics.com works.  To recap…Paul has this Harris pontoon boat and wants a custom graphic similar to this Bennington pontoon boat picture he sent.

There were a few, obvious issues with this design…the biggest one being the difference in areas to be covered.  Paul’s Harris has an area of 23’ x 16” while this Bennington example is a much taller area.  So after discussing this, we decided to simply use the Bennington design as an idea.

I played with the idea of the 3D spikes and natural, earthy colors to first produce a design pattern.  This is a layout of shapes that will form the basic pattern.  Eventually, these shapes will be made 3D, shaded and colored correctly.  But the first draft is pictured here.

And laying this design on Paul’s Harris provides a better idea of how the final product may look.

Since Paul and I will be working quite extensively on this design, I included a sample color palette for Paul to use as a reference during our discussions.  This morning, I emailed Paul in Australia this first, rough draft and mock-up.  He will review this sample, we will make changes and move forward from there.

Harris Pontoon Boat Graphic – JoyRideGraphics.com

JoyRide Graphics is embarking on a new design project for an Australian customer’s Harris pontoon boat.  This Completely Custom design will involve creating a vector graphic design based upon this Bennington pontoon boat graphic.

We will be fitting a design based on this to a Harris pontoon boat covering an area of 276” wide, by 16” tall and producing one graphic for each side of the boat.  We will be using neutral, earthy colors/tones and laying the cut graphic on the now painted, black background of this Harris pontoon.

This looks like it is going to be a challenging and time consuming process with an amazing transformation once completed and applied.  The change from the original and dated Harris graphic to the final product is going to be dramatic and truly transform the look of the pontoon boat into something very modern and exciting.  Yes…we are excited with this project.  Therefore, JoyRideGraphics.com will be updating our blog with a step by step timeline showing what is involved in this project, and giving you an idea of what can be done through our custom process, with our graphic designers and using our premium marine grade vinyl materials.
